Hello.

My name is Hisako Ichiki.

I just arrived this afternoon.

It was nothing compared to the flight from Japan to America just a little over a year previously, but Hisako couldn't help but feel like it had taken forever to make the jump from Seattle to New York. She'd sat quietly in her seat the entire time either skimming across the in-flight magazines or staring out the window at the clouds. The sight of the Statue of Liberty off in the distance before she landed was a pleasant one, however. It reminded her of the replica in Odaiba harbor...as backwards as that sounded.

The moment she'd stepped into the taxi it seemed that proper conversation with the driver would prove difficult. Luckily she had a piece of paper with the address and just handed that over. It saved them both the hassle of trying to work around the other's accent.

For a moment the Japanese teen wondered if the man up front had decided to take the 'scenic' route, but eventually she was delivered to the front gates and ended up staring up with her usual blank expression at the enormous building in front of her.

"...Tadaima."
